ASHAWO, a more percussive effort follows the frustration of a sexually liberated woman. Ashawo is/was a term used to describe prostitutes. Its meaning changed overtime, used in a more derogatory manner to describe a woman who was comfortable with her sensuality and sexuality. I personally loved the word, it had a sort of confidence to it and newer generations breath new life into it by embracing it.
